freetubes.com Frequently Asked Questions

Question: "May I offer items I create with your images for download? (web sets, signature tags aka siggies, email stationery, scrapbook layouts, etc)"

Answer: The simple answer is no. See the Terms of Use.

Question: "May I use your images for school projects?"

Answer: If you are a student in K-12, college or university, medical school or teaching hospital or trade school where:

Then yes, you may use my art. It doesn't matter to me if you are an adult returning to school, or a young student. Teachers in the aforementioned institutions in any country are also granted permission to use my graphics in their classrooms for educational purposes or simply to decorate the classroom or class web site as long as there is no fund raising or advertising involved.

Question: "Should I credit you when using your images?"

Answer: For personal use projects, I don't require credits and frankly, if you aren't using my image without any editing, resizing or conversion to another file format, I'd rather you didn't credit me.

Question: "I put your pngs in my tube folder and I can't see them in Paint Shop Pro's picture tube list. What's wrong?"

Answer: Paint Shop Pro doesn't accept pngs as tubes; my pngs are tube ready files though. You must open the png file in Paint Shop Pro 7.04 or later, then export the image as a tube as you would any other tube ready image. Setting the cells across and down is usually all you need to do, other than type in the name you wish to give the tube - unless I've noted some special settings for that png when used as a tube. NOTE:  If you are using PSP5 through 7.02, you will need to open the png, then under the masks menu, load the mask from the alpha channel, again, under the mask menu, choose to delete the mask, merging with the image when it asks, before you will be able to export the image as a tube. Versions of Paint Shop Pro before 7.04 do not open pngs with the object on a transparent background layer, therefore the couple extra steps are required before you export the png as a tube.

Question: "Do know how to do... Do you have tutorials for...?"

Answer: If you need "how to" information for Paint Shop Pro, try campratty.com for frequently asked questions and fun to read "irreverent" tutorials. If you don't find what you are looking for there, then let Google help you find the information you seek. I am not a teacher or tutor and don't really want to "play one" on the internet.
